10 miles moderate
Went out in the late afternoon to try the decreasing loops totalling 10 miles which I had last attempted exactly three months ago. On the first loop, via Cleveden Road, I was comfortably ahead of my usual morning schedule at the point on that particular route where I turn onto Dorchester Avenue, and I reached the end of the loop (at the Woodside Inn) just inside 30 minutes. The second loop, via Garrioch Road, was completed in a further 20 minutes without too much difficulty, and although the climb up Maryhill Road seemed a bit tougher on the final loop via Queen Margaret Drive, I finished in 1:04:23, which works out at 6:26 per mile. This was nearly 8 minutes faster than my previous attempt. Gmaps confirmed the distance as 10.05 miles.
