I went out before breakfast for a slightly different morning route which was the same as the usual Dorchester Avenue loop until the Botanic Gardens, where I headed up Queen Margaret Drive to Maryhill Road. This took it up to 5.625 miles. There's no danger of getting stuck at the Botanic Gardens traffic lights any more as I have plenty of time to cross Queen Margaret Drive, but the hill at the end is quite tough. My first attempt was completed in 36:55, 6:33 per mile.
In the evening I could hardly move my legs but dragged myself from Bearsden Asda down to Station Road, up Chesters Road and back via Roman Road and Roman Drive.
