Stewarding

Friday was a rest day, and I didn't have much planned for Saturday either as a single day off has proven not to be enough rest between a hard run and a race - still aiming for tomorrow's 10K. (I think I will set my M35 10K PB by default.) In any case I was stewarding the Garscube schools cross-country races in Mugdock Country Park. I was posted at the furthest point of the course and stood there for a couple of hours, trotting back over the hill between races to chat and watch for the next set of runners in the distance. Don't know what went wrong on the first boys' race but some of them passed me two or three times despite there only being a single lap. The course actually seemed pretty decent, if a bit muddy in places.
