4.8 miles steady

After an extra rest day to fight off a thigh strain, I went out before breakfast for a shorter route than I had planned for this week, chosen so if I ended up having to walk home I wouldn't have too far to go, and also to keep the hills to a minimum. The route took me down Garscube Road, down the path behind Abercorn School, over the footbridge and onto the canal towpath as far as Lochburn Road, then back up Maryhill Road. I started off cautiously and everything seemed OK so I gradually picked up speed. The route came out at 4.8 miles and I completed it in 32:57, 6:51 per mile, without any problems.
