9.3 miles steady

Went for a swim in the morning and consequently only had one run available in the afternoon to try to bring my total distance for the week up to 50 miles, so I chose one of my longer routes along Great Western Road and over the canal at Blairdardie, then back along Canniesburn Road and down Maryhill Road. I started off pretty slowly and was suffering from heavy legs, but picked it up a bit and crossed the canal inside 30 minutes, before struggling up the hill to Drumchapel Road where I lost a lot of time. After another mile or so I started to get it back together and battled through sore quads to get my average pace below 7:15/mile. Got back home in 1:06:57. The distance came out at 9.32 miles, giving me an average pace of 7:11/mile, HR 142.

Pace splits: 7:27 (129), 7:09 (138), 6:52 (141), 6:57 (144), 7:44 (144), 7:23 (140), 7:07 (147), 6:58 (147), 7:08 (146), 6:55 (146)
HR zones: 1.6%, 24.1%, 74.3%, 0%, 0%
Weekly total: 50 miles
