In anticipation of a long layoff, I dug the mountain bike out of retirement and went for a cycle up Baird's Brae, along the canal to the aqueduct, down the Kelvin Walkway to Kelvinbridge and back home up North Woodside Road. 5.48 miles in 28:09, average speed 11.7mph, HR 141.
